Porto Pango
Porto Pango will be El Salvador’s first international resort development, offering world class lodging and amenities in a stunning lakeside setting. El Salvador’s stable economic and political situation, as well as a national drive to increase tourism, has created the ideal conditions to develop a unique master planned environment that will cater to a wide international and local customer base. The project is a priority of the country’s current administration and has received overwhelming government and popular support.
Porto Pango will consist of a large scale master planned resort project that will be developed in phases. Phase I will occupy over 120 acres of land and include a 225-room business/tourism hotel with marina, a 60-room luxury boutique hotel, spa and wellness facilities, and over 500 lakeview condominiums and luxury home sites. Additional phases will follow on land currently controlled by the project’s developers, which includes a partnership between VisionMaker and local land owners. The project is scheduled to commence construction in late 2007.
